MARCH 13 Arbor Day Celebration hosted by Modesto Garden Club. 10 AM @ Roosevelt Park on W. Orangeburg Ave. Near tennis courts and Centennial Garden (look for the pop-up). A Valley Oak will be planted. It is the largest oak in North America, a deciduous tree native to California’s interior valleys. It can live for up to 600 years and provides crucial habitat, food (acorns) and shelter for wildlife including migratory birds.

APRIL 10, Friday Urban Forest Modesto Meeting, 2pm @ the Boy Scout Clubhouse, Enlsen Park, corner of Stoddard and Enslen Avenues.

APRIL 11, Saturday La Loma Pollinator Festival, Native Plant Garden 2000 Encina Ave. 10am - 2pm. Beehive Demonstration, Free Native Wildflower Seeds, Education Games for All Ages. Children’s Pollinator Costume Parade @ 10:30am. Face painting, food trucks, and so much more! Hosted by the La Loma Neighborhood Alliance and California Native Plant Society.

APRIL 18 Earth Day in our neighborhood, Graceada Park, Enjoy the day at the park, 10am - 2pm

APRIL 25 Love Modesto. Sign up now for a wonderful morning to give back to our community. www.lovemodesto.com, watch the video and get inspired. Click Volunteer to join a project, and Love Modesto Big!

MAY 2 RecFest @ Tuolumne River Regional Park. Time and location to be announced.

MAY 14 CANA General Meeting, Boy Scout Clubhouse, Enslen Park, door opens 5:30, meeting begins 6 PM.

MAY 17 Porchfest - a wonderful time to enjoy music and connect with family, friends, and neighbors in our neighborhood..

Gather neighbors and friends for a family-friendly evening.

Enjoy the perfect pour at Contentment's Brewing Co. Handcrafted brews and sodas. Delicious Mexican food by Taqueria ADM (Ay Dios Mio!). Games.

Urban Forest Modesto Walk

Invite family and friends for a walk in the park, among some of the oldest trees in our area at the Mary Grogan Grove which is a beautiful park setting along the Tuolumne River.  Our group is supporting efforts by the Tuolumne River Trust to rehabilitate this natural resource within our city limit.

Taqueria Los Compadres is generous again to extend our fundraiser to all-day. That way you can order Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and 15% of your purchase comes back to our three neighborhood schools, Fremont, Enslen and Roosevelt.
