March April May Highlights
MARCH 13 Arbor Day Celebration hosted by Modesto Garden Club. 10 AM @ Roosevelt Park on W. Orangeburg Ave. Near tennis courts and Centennial Garden (look for the pop-up). A Valley Oak will be planted. It is the largest oak in North America, a deciduous tree native to California’s interior valleys. It can live for up to 600 years and provides crucial habitat, food (acorns) and shelter for wildlife including migratory birds.
APRIL 10, Friday Urban Forest Modesto Meeting, 2pm @ the Boy Scout Clubhouse, Enlsen Park, corner of Stoddard and Enslen Avenues.
APRIL 11, Saturday La Loma Pollinator Festival, Native Plant Garden 2000 Encina Ave. 10am - 2pm. Beehive Demonstration, Free Native Wildflower Seeds, Education Games for All Ages. Children’s Pollinator Costume Parade @ 10:30am. Face painting, food trucks, and so much more! Hosted by the La Loma Neighborhood Alliance and California Native Plant Society.
APRIL 18 Earth Day in our neighborhood, Graceada Park, Enjoy the day at the park, 10am - 2pm

MAY 2 RecFest @ Tuolumne River Regional Park. Time and location to be announced.
MAY 14 CANA General Meeting, Boy Scout Clubhouse, Enslen Park, door opens 5:30, meeting begins 6 PM.
