Neighborhood Engagement Training

2017 statistics and how we as a neighborhood can educate ourselves to engage with those in our parks and neighborhood who are looking for help. This PDF is a guide in how to engage with those experiencing homelessness. Now with the Access Center located next to the Salvation Army on D Street at 9th, individuals have a one-stop location to seek help. A low barrier shelter has been added at this location, where pets, partners, and possessions are accepted. The Housing Authority is instrumental in remodeling existing motels/hotels for transitional and permanent housing for the homeless.
